Regional Symposium on Financial Literacy in Latin America and the Caribbean
Within the framework of the 10th Meeting of the OECD/INFE Regional Network for Latin America and the Caribbean, the Regional Symposium on Financial Education for Latin America and the Caribbean will be held in Bogotá on July 24, 2026. The event will bring together international experts, authorities, academics, and representatives from the public and private sectors to discuss the main challenges, opportunities, and progress in financial education in the region.
During the event, key topics will be addressed, including: financial education, financial inclusion, and financial well-being in Colombia; the safe and informed use of digital instant payments and open finance; the protection of financial consumers against scams and fraud; the relationship between financial education and decision-making across different life stages; the effective integration of financial education into school curricula; gender gaps in financial literacy; and the impact of artificial intelligence on both financial consumers and the provision of financial education programs.
