Book "Elementos de Hacienda Pública"

In this edition of Elementos de Hacienda Pública (Elements of Public Treasury), the work of the lawyer and politician Clímaco Calderón from Boyacá, initially published in 1911 by the Imprenta de La Luz in Bogotá, the spelling prevailing at the time was preserved. For example, the Spanish preposition “a” and the Spanish conjunctions “e” and “o,” which at that time were accented (á, é, ó), as well as many words that were accented at the time and now are not. Among other peculiarities of the original edition, there are commas before opening dashes and commas before closing them. Capital letters remained the same, without accents. In direct quotations, periods or commas are placed before closing quotation marks. The first letters of the months of the year are capitalized. In this edition, the numbering of footnotes is published consecutively. The use of dotted decimals was preserved. For figures, in thousands, the use from that time was preserved, i.e., with a comma (1,500); for millions, a period was used in millions and a comma in thousands (570.400,000). All errata were corrected as well as typographical errors found in the original version made by the linotypists when composing the text. Finally, the alphabetical order of the analytical index and the index of names mentioned in the original edition was maintained. These indexes will not apply to ePub and .mobi formats. The digital format of this publication is ePub3, and there may be incompatibility in its functions with some devices and applications.
