The Board of Directors of Banco de la Republica (the Central Bank of Colombia) has appointed Mr. Jose Dario Uribe(*) as Governor for the period starting on 4th January 2013

At its session today, the Board of Directors of Banco de la Republica (the Central Bank of Colombia) appointed Mr José Dario Uribe-Escobar(*) as Governor of Banco de la Republica for the four-year period beginning in January 4 2013. 

Mr. Uribe has been acting as this institution’s Governor since 2005.  He is an EAFIT University Business Manager as well an Economist from Los Andes University with a Master Degree and a Ph Degree of the University of Illinois.
