Banco de la República once again ranks as the most trusted national institution among the country’s opinion leaders

The Issuer has ranked first in this opinion ranking for 17 consecutive years, reaffirming the credibility and institutional legitimacy of the central bank.

In the Panel de Opinión de Cifras y Conceptos 2026, Banco de la República (the Central Bank of Colombia) was once again recognized as the institution that generates the greatest trust among opinion leaders in Colombia. The institution received the highest score in the institutional trust ranking, with 80 points, and ranked first among the 15 national institutions evaluated.

With this year’s result, the Issuer has ranked first in this opinion ranking for 17 consecutive years, reaffirming the credibility and institutional legitimacy of the central bank.

The study was based on the opinions of 1,424 opinion leaders, including representatives of the media, politicians, academics, the private sector, social organizations, and digital leaders, through surveys conducted from 1 June to 12 August 2026 in urban areas of the departments of Valle del Cauca, Caldas, Huila, Antioquia, Risaralda, Meta, Nariño, Atlántico, Boyacá, Tolima, Cauca, Bolívar, Santander, Norte de Santander, Cesar, and Córdoba, as well as certain municipalities in Cundinamarca and Bogotá.
