This document aims to provide a comprehensive educational framework to encourage widespread adoption of Bre-B, Colombia's new instant payments system. Its objective is to propose certain general guidelines to educate customers about the operation, benefits, and reliability of Bre-B.
This document compiles the best national and international practices on economic and financial inclusion and education. It includes educational principles, values, objectives, target audiences, general guidelines, implementation suggestions, monitoring, and assessment. It also provides a set of basic educational resources on Bre-B, including links to tutorials, simulators, and multimedia content, among others. These general guidelines aim to promote the safe and efficient adoption of instant payments in the Colombian society in a coordinated manner, contributing to deepen financial inclusion, stimulate economic growth, and foster competition among financial service providers (Özyilmaz, 2024).
