El Banco de la República de Colombia y el Banco Central de Bolivia firman Memorando de Cooperación

This memorandum will allow collaboration between the central banks within the framework of their respective roles in central banking and related activities.

The Governor of Banco de la República (the Central Bank of Colombia), Leonardo Villar, and the President of Banco Central de Bolivia (the Central Bank of Bolivia - BCB), Edwin Rojas Ulo, signed on Monday, March 27, a cooperation agreement aimed at establishing reciprocal coordination commitments to facilitate collaboration in areas of common interest within their respective areas of competence.

The signing of this agreement will strengthen the technical capacity, the exchange of experiences, and the implementation of cooperation activities between both institutions.

This agreement covers different areas of cooperation of vital importance for central banks, such as monetary policy, financial stability, international reserves management, monitoring and analysis of financial markets as well as other support areas such as legal, accounting, and financial management.

To implement this agreement, both central banks will coordinate the organization of different cooperation activities such as study and research programs, seminars, workshops, missions, internships, technical visits, videoconferences, and other forms of cooperation that contribute to the strengthening of their bilateral relations.

The Governor of Banco de la República and the President of BCB expressed their satisfaction with the signing of this memorandum of cooperation.
