Seminario 569: Inteligencia Artificial: Nuevas Fronteras de Investigación
El seminario semanal de economía es un espacio en el que investigadores nacionales y extranjeros presentan sus trabajos recientes en todas las áreas de economía y finanzas. Se trata de un escenario académico en el que se comunican nuevas metodologías y modelos económicos y financieros y se debaten sus implicaciones de política para Colombia y países de la región.
Resumen del documento: In this presentation, I aim to draw on the findings of ongoing research projects to highlight the impact of recent advances on disruptive technology and Artificial intelligence (AI). AI technology seems to integrate perfectly into the insurance industry. There are potential applications in sales, underwriting, claims, and many other business processes. The first part of the presentation explains how AI will specifically influence the insurance industry in the future, with a focus on different stages, characteristics and possible implementation timeframes of AI. The era of robots has already arrived with the rapid development of artificial intelligence and is disrupting the workforce in insurance and other industries. Robotics is developing very rapidly in China and research on the impact of robots on the Chinese job market is particularly important. The second part of the presentation explores the impact of robots on future employment. We are interested in calculating the possibility of replacement of various occupations. We also investigate whether the use of robots can motivate people to pursue higher educational levels.
