representation of a feline on the alert, with all its muscles
tensed, this pendant brings together some of the most characteristic
features of the Zenú metalwork style. It is made from gold
cast by the lost-wax process, and produces an impression of realism
through a synthesis of symbolically significant naturalistic and
geometric elements.
