The
treasury notes ordered by president Tomás Cipriano
de Mosquera for his attempted central bank were printed in
Bogota, using a very thin paper, by Ayala y Medrano litographers.
They included manuscript signatures of Rafael Núñez, Secretary
ot the Treasure and Simón de Herrera, General Treasurer. They
were issued in 1, 2, 3, 10, 20 and 100 pesos denominations,
also with its value in reales. As it was tipical in bank notes
of those days, drawings of ships and farming instruments were
used, although the one of higher denomination shows the image
of Mosquera.
